* Comfort Animal: decreased Energy cost to 5. Functionality changed to: "You heal your animal companion for 20..104 Health. If your companion is dead, it is resurrected with 10..58% Health. If you have Comfort Animal equipped, your animal companion will travel with you."
It's about time, even if it's PvE only. I like this update.

Despite all the QQing about overpowered farming assassins, now there will be QQing about overpowered assassins in PvP.
Glad to see a thoughtful buff to rangers, though.

I'm liking the Beastmaster love. Definitely like making it so you only need Comfort Animal to bring a pet along. Don't know if it's enough, tho.
And tomorrow, I make an Assassin. Hey, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

I knew they were going to buff pets sometime! YAAAYYY!!
Although my initial glee over that bit of update was lessened when I saw that they lessened the damage on my elite... no more chompy chompy chompy KACHOMP100DMG?
Ah well. Aside from the change to Enraged Lunge I have no problem with this update (but then again I don't play PvP; I was just checking to make sure none of my builds got nerfed). And I'm really happy they buffed BMs.

Good from a PvE standpoint. But PvP...not so much.

I actually wasn't expecting an update today, so this came as a nice surprise. Not too bad either, I like the dervish buffs. And Sand Shards is cool in a lolwtf? kind of way. Best part of this update is the BM buff, even though it's only for PvE. A shame but good nontheless.

Lots of good changes and idea.
And some really, really bad ones!
Dervishes are now useful again for PvP, their newly found sustainability should make things interesting.
More Power Creep isn't really the answer though =(

I don't like complaining, but why don't warriors get some love? Hammer has absolutely no use in PvE, and skill-bars are always the same, for years. Axe = Eviscerate, Sword = DSlash or CSlash in PvP. In order to have a great skill-bar it's a must to have 3 PvE skills which any class can use anyways.
Not to mention, tactics are a total waste, I haven't been using that attribute line in years, and I don't know a single decent warrior that is using tactics, nor in PvE or PvP. They should bring in something new, to make warriors more interesting so people don't look at them as tank bags with 100 armor who's role is just to go in first and wait for others to clean it up.(That's for PvE, and while warriors indeed can do good damage, people underestimate their capability to do so .)

Are you kidding? That's going to take a backseat to the uproar that Necros will cause with Poison Heart now.

* Fixed a bug that prevented canceling spells via weapon swapping to count toward skill-usage totals.
thank god that's fixed finally
* Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented Flesh Golems summoned by Necromancers from leaving exploitable corpses.
yay!
* Vow of Piety: sweet jesus!
* Tonics no longer make noise in a town or outpost.
lol

So:
1) HB meta is totally wrecked by Shadow Step.
2) GvG meta is totally wrecked by the aggressiveness mechanic. Teams have to take multiple Paragons to heal the lord without screwing over their tiebreaker.
Response:
Make sins combo faster. Bring back Divine Boon. Make AoE Air spike viable. Make dervs overpowered for RA...or at least, they would be if Distortion weren't dominating that meta.
Does anyone else feel like this update was produced by the Pointy Haired Boss of Dilbert fame? The building's burning and you're refilling the vending machines? Really?
And Seed of Life wasn't powerful enough?!?

Pet buff is kinda cool.
Kinda worried about the potential for air ele spike teams in HA again.
Fox fangs is nice. Finally it is no longer vastly inferior to wild strike.
Everything else though... really random. AoE on dagger attacks? WTF is that?

Fox fangs was never vastly inferior to wild strike. It was required in some builds if you wanted to quarterknock someone. Now they can, with more damage.
Also, that is ANet trying to bring assassins back into PvP.
